This NVQ Level 2 Plastering qualification provides a nationally recognised qualification for those working in the construction industry who want to specialise in plastering. To gain a Plastering NVQ qualification, you need to have 5 years' worth of experience and have an appropriate amount of knowledge on the NVQ units mentioned below.
The NVQ Level 2 in Plastering qualification is designed for learners who have a plastering role in the construction sector. The qualification allows learners to demonstrate their competence in order to apply for the blue CSCS card.
You will learn many skills in this plastering course related to the outlined units, including laying sand and cement, installing direct bond dry lining, applying projection plaster skills, and installing mechanically fixed plasterboard. Once you have learned these skills you will become a skilled worker in plastering and are able to apply for your CSCS card.

The Plastering NVQ qualification will assess a learner’s competence in their current job role. Learners must be aged 16+ and be working in a role that will allow them to demonstrate their competence against the units below.
The learner will be assessed using a range of methods tailored to the learners needs. These vary from on-site assessments, observations, written questions, evidence generated from the workplace, professional discussion, and witness testimonials.
