This Painting and Decorating Diploma is designed for those working as a painter and decorator, and other decorative finishing roles. The qualification allows learners to demonstrate their competence in order to apply for the blue CSCS card. Once successfully applied and having received the CSCS card, the learner will now be able to complete painting/decorating in the construction industry and be recognised as a skilled worker.

Entry Requirements:

The qualification will assess a learner’s competence in their current job role. Learners must be aged 16+ and be working in a role that will allow them to demonstrate their painting and decorating competence against the units below.

NVQ Level 2 Painting And Decorating Diploma - Course Content And Delivery:

The Painting and Decorating NVQ learner will be assessed using a range of methods tailored to the learner's needs. These vary from on-site assessments, observations, written questions, evidence generated from the workplace, professional discussion, and witness testimonials. Once these methods have been correctly assessed, the learner will gain their blue CSCS card and become a skilled worker in the construction industry, specifically painting and decorating.

• Conforming to general health, safety and welfare in the workplace
• Conforming to productive working practices in the workplace
• Moving, handling and storing resources in the workplace
• Erecting and dismantling access/working platforms in the workplace
• Preparing surfaces for painting/decorating in the workplace
• Applying paint systems by brush and roller in the workplace
